For a moment, Lazuli was seeing double; the dim light of the stars slowly came into focus as the faevyn was dragged along on his back. He groaned, head pounding as he reached to rub it, seething as a migraine began to form. He saw the raging river, the mud now caked all over him and being parted by his lower body sloughing through it, as well as what appeared to be some kind of eight-legged taur-kin walking beside him. With his apron-shirt up against his neck, Laz began to panic, regaining consciousness more quickly when he realized the situation he was in.

It was a bit of a walk, but Lazuli preferred more personal moments to be in private, not out in an open field between houses. When the number of people on the road to the Kalea dwindled, and their lanterns disappeared over the hillsides, the faevyn followed the sound of roaring water; if there was anywhere he could do things peacefully, it was by the river, even if the water wasn’t peaceful itself; it was a bit of comfort to him.

There were lanterns, costumes, candy, prayers, and visits with families both living and deceased over in Viridis. Children went door to door and knocked enthusiastically, reciting the joyous little mantra of the celebration, “trick or treeeeaaat!” Lazuli thought it was cute, seeing all of the costumes on man and taur alike as they ran from one house to another with flour sacks and pillow cases- some had buckets, which was rather creative given some candies tended to leak or make a mess.
